Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response towards DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. As well as her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
